Lisa’s background
Lisa Foster Wilson was born in Hartford Connecticut. The youngest of six children, music was integral part of Lisa’s upbringing. Her father, a blues singer who accepted the call of the Lord continued his music ministry with the men’s chorus as well as delivering Gods word. Lisa sang her first solo at the age of four, but it was cut short when she declared” Here I’m done” in the middle of the song. That independent spirit comes alive today in the rich deeply felt lyrics of her songs.

Lisa started her formal music training in the Creative Arts Program for Secondary Students (CAPSS). As an advanced student Lisa attended master classes with Moshe Paranov, world renowned Founder of University of Hartford’s prestigious Hartt School of Music and conductor of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra. Lisa attended Boston University School for the Arts, studied with Metropolitan Opera Tenor, Carlo Bergonzi and graduated with a Bachelor of Vocal Performance degree in opera.
